Sandi Harmon
Receptionist
My love for animals grew from being on my grandparents farm where we had 2 cows who were sisters named Betsy and Bossy, a pony named SauerKraut, and a mule named Abe. It was there where I knew I wanted to devote my life to contributing to animals’ well being.
I started my career in veterinary care in Florida and continued in Memphis TN where I was introduced to and fell in love with exotic and avian rescue and rehabilitation. I have a special interest in animal control and wildlife rescue.
In this career, each day is different. Some days can be challenging, others can be inspiring and filled with constant learning. I have such an amazing work family here at BCAH, it makes it so no day is every boring.
In my personal time, I enjoy walks with my fur baby, Bucket, reading, diamond art and bass fishing.

Ali Shelton
Veterinary Technician
Hi there! My name is Ali Shelton. I'm have been a part-time Vet Assistant here at Boyd’s Creek Animal Hospital (BCAH) since the fall of 2024. I love carrying on the legacy of Dr. Brandi Dukes, previous owner of BCAH. After all, we're family! She was my cousin and someone who inspired me to work in the veterinary field- she gave me an opportunity and I ran with it! I've now been in the field for 14yrs & I like to think I'm honoring her memory by helping Dr. Marquis in taking care of our patients each day with a smile. I worked under Dr. Brandi from 2010-2013. Being back at BCAH is a privilege & I'm so thankful to be here, even in a small capacity. I enjoy learning and growing in my technical skills and educating clients about their furry family members. I recently graduated from Penn Foster College, Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology program. My goal is to sit for the VTNE in the Fall of 2025.
I am married to my husband Johnathon, we met right after I graduated from Fulton High School in 2009. I enjoy worshiping Jesus, anything outdoors, scary movies, and reading a good book. I'm here to serve and support you on your pet care journey!

Josie Lewis
Veterinary Assistant
Josie Lewis is a veterinary assistant, here, at Boyd's Creek Animal Hospital. She has 5 years of experience working in veterinary medicine. As an assistant at BCAH she specializes in patient care and customer communication and is known for her positive attitude.
Born and raised in Seymour, TN, her love for animals and nature came naturally growing up on her family farm, participating in local rodeo, and learning from local farmers. Josie holds an Associate's degree in agricultural science from Walters State community college and is passionate about the conservation of agricultural processes and ways of living. After graduation Josie traveled to Palmyra, VA where she lived and worked for a year at Shirefolk Farms learning and implementing eco-friendly permaculture principles to raise pastured proteins and naturally grown produce. In late 2019 she returned to TN and entered the veterinary field. Having worked in both general practice clinics as well as animal emergency, Josie has developed a wide range of skills and knowledge which make her a valuable addition to our hospital

Jordan Mynatt
Veterinary Assistant
Hello! My name is Jordan. I've been working here at BCAH since the fall of 2024, but have been in the veterinary field for about 5 years. I absolutely love all the people I work with here and have learned so much from all of them.
I love being able to help those who can't speak for themselves.
I am very compassionate towards animals and love seeing an animal progress over time. Whether it be watching them grow up or watching them heal and see the spark come back into their eyes.
I have 2 fur babies - Kit, who I have had her entire life for almost 5 years now and Atticus, who is a newer addition to the family. I was born and raised here in Seymour, TN but I definitely do love traveling to new places and exploring.

Taylor Mihalow
Veterinary Assistant
Taylor one of the veterinary assistants here at BCAH, joined our team in the fall of 2024. Taylor loves working at BCAH and coming in everyday to work with kind, compassionate, and humorous coworkers. She cares deeply for every pet that comes through the doors. She looks forward to meeting you and your fur babies in the clinic soon!
Born and raised in Central PA, Taylor moved to the Knoxville, TN area due to her fiancé’s job and couldn’t be happier! After living in Asheville, NC for a year and West Chester, PA for a year, they are ecstatic to be living in the south again.
Taylor graduated from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA (where the Pittsburgh Steelers host their football training camp!) with her bachelor's degree in Health Science and a minor in Biology. She’s been working in the veterinary field, professionally, since 2018, but she has always had a special place in her heart for animals since she was little. Taylor grew up owning and taking care of her own horses, dogs, and cats back in PA.
Taylor and her fiancé have a rescue border collie named Obi Wan Kenobi that is their whole world. In their spare time they like to spend time outdoors with their dog, trying new restaurants, shopping, binge watching TV shows, and exploring everything East TN has to offer.
