Tatum Marquis, DVM
Dr. Tatum Marquis has been our Medical Director since the spring of 2023. She has worked in the animal field since she can remember. Growing up in CT, around both farm and companion animals, she built a true passion for all aspects of veterinary medicine. She worked as a veterinary assistant from 2008-2011 when she then became a certified veterinary technician in 2011. She worked in emergency and general practice until 2016 just prior to veterinary school.
She graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 from St George's University, after completing her clinical training at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has special interests in dentistry, surgery, preventative medicine and has expansive experience with internal medicine, dermatological, and epileptic cases.
Dr. Marquis is always eager to advance her skills in medicine and surgery, as this field is constantly growing and developing. She plans to grow right along with it. Her passionate drive and determination keeps her focused on providing gold standard veterinary care to each and every one of her patients.
Her hobbies include riding and racing motorcycles, tattoos, art and building a life here in East Tennessee with her partner, their "island dog" Meaty, their standard poodle Teddy, and their two cats Charlie (or as she likes to respond to "Baby Shmoo" and Turtle.
